Shawn Shelby Klosterman
Director/ Head Coach
Shawn Klosterman is the founder, Director and current Head Coach of BERZERKER Swimming, having started the club in the fall of 1999 under it's original name: Jasper County Killer Whales. Shawn spent his youth training with the Viking Swim Club in Petersburg, Alaska, and the South Snohomish County Dolphins in Everett, WA. Shawn attended Southwest Missouri State University as a Breaststroke and IM specialist, graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor in Ed. Degree with K-12 Certification in Physical Education, and has since earned a Masters' Degree in Athletic Administration through William Woods University. Shawn is the Aquatics Director for the Webb City R-VII School District and teaches K-12 Swimming classes as well as coaching the Boys and Girls Varsity Cardinals. He is currently on the MSHSAA Swimming Advisory Board, and also serves as General Chair for Arkansas Swimming Inc. You might see Shawn in the water with the team once in a while as he still swims competitively with our Masters as well as in USA Swimming meets. Shawn wears a lot of hats and gets pulled in a lot of directions but is always working to make swimming in the 4-states bigger and better. He is okay with with being called Coach K, but really he likes it when people call him VIKING.
Kurt L Housh
Kurt Housh brings a wealth of swimming experience as he grew up
swimming on a large club in Texas and went on to be part of a state
champion private school swimming program in Virginia. Kurt is
primarily in charge of the Blue group but also assists with the
advanced groups. Kurt is considered "deck boss" when Coach
Shawn is away covering his responsibilities for the WCHS swimming
Nathaniel Oberley has been around the pool most of his life. After swimming for summer team for several years, he joined a USA team at the age of 10. Nate has 6 years of experience with the Swim America program, teaching preschoolers, school age children, and adults how to swim efficiently and effectively. He started coaching a group of 8&unders his senior year of high school through Old Dominion Aquatic Club, and enjoyed it so much he continued coaching with the Webb City Summer League and the Rolla Fins Swim Team. Nate attends MSSU and primarily works with our Bronze and Silver practice groups.
Faith Housh works with our PREP 1 and PREP 2 groups. She
is excited to help to bring our youngest Killer Whales a fun and
valuable learning experience to help get their swim team experience
Sharon Griffing has been teaching swim lessons to children and adults of all ages since 2008. As the spouse to a soldier in the Unites States Army, Sharon has had the opportunity to teach swimming in several different states. As part of her ongoing instructor education, Sharon achieved her American Red Cross WSIT Certification in 2014, enabling her to train others to become American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors. Sharon and her husband have 3 sons and currently live in Pittsburg, KS.
