Practice groups and
programs:
PREP:
(ages 12 & under)
Most swimmers begin in the PREP
program. PREP is designed to introduce swimmers to the sport in a
non-competitive environment so that swimmers can learn at their own
pace. PREP swimmers may attend meets at the discretion of the Head
Age Group Coach and PREP Group Coach. PREP swimmers enroll for
sessions of 4 weeks at a time.
October, November, January and

BLUE:
(Ages 12 & under)
The BLUE group builds on basic skills
already learned, and begins to add endurance work to our skill
repetition. Swimmers practice two times per week. Meets are
encouraged but they are optional. Championship meets are highly
encouraged as they are an honor to qualify and they are our
greatest team-builder!

BLACK: (Ages 13
& up)
Our BLACK group is for swimmers age 13
and up, and can accommodate swimmers at all ability levels. In the
older groups we understand that some swimmers just want to stay in
shape between High School and summer seasons. This group allows
some flexibility to allow swimmers to work around other activities.
Meets are encouraged, but optional. Championship meets are highly
encouraged as they are an important part of being a Killer
Whale!

Contract
Groups:
The following groups compete and
practice year-round, and swimmers must earn a spot within these
training groups. These groups are for swimmers who have achieved an
appropriate skill level and who are ready to be a Killer Whale
through both the Short Course (Winter) season and the Long Course
(Summer) season, and commit to a specified number of practices and
meets. If you feel that your swimmer may be ready for Bronze level
swimming, or to move up into Silver or Gold, please talk to Coach
Angela or Coach Jared. Families interested in these groups must
meet with the coaches to discuss expectations, as communication is
the key to success in our most competitive groups.
BRONZE: (all ages)
